Community Involvement
Our neighborhood has very active civic and business district associations in which I have been a member and officer. We have sponsored a number of successful restoration and preservation projects that have enhanced our neighborhood. As a resident, I have participated in the Victorian Christmas and summer garden tours that serve as our community´s fund raisers each year. (You haven´t lived until you have had 3500 people through your house over the course of a weekend). With other business property owners in the neighborhood, we contributed and raised the funding necessary to complete the public space improvements required to bring this mixed-use street's amenities up to the standard for our residential streets. Today, Allegheny West, a stones through from PNC Park and Hines Field, is one of the most beautifully restored and maintained neighborhoods in Pittsburgh.
Over the years, supported a number of community service providers, charitable organizations.
