I had the good fortune to have 105 cities from which to choose when I decided to move from the New York City area.  I picked Pittsburgh because of its cultural and sports amenities, historical residential neighborhoods and business opportunity.  It was the best decision I ever made.

My wife and I now live within walking distance of downtown in a brick Victorian home built in 1870 surrounded by good friends and playmates for our two boys, Matt and Jack, age 13.   The boys provide great enjoyment to my adult daughter Amy, who who visits frequently from her home in Baltimore.  But my grandson, attending college in New York City, is a little embarrassed by his uncles.  His mother, Cynthia, lives in Tampa, FL.  We are fortunate to have a second historic Victorian house on a commercial street two blocks from our home that now serves as our offices. Our clients enjoy the more casual atmosphere afforded by our office as compared to a high-rise downtown.

Aside from the common interests in restoration shared by our neighbors in this historic district in Pittsburgh, we enjoy walking to PNC Park and Heinz Field to see the Pirates and Steelers, or to spend an evening in the Cultural District attending a play or concert.

I spend time each day pushing back the sands of time at the gym, walking in our nearby park, or riding on the miles of riverside bike trails that pass within blocks of our home. The never ending pursuit of par takes me to the golf course during the summer months.  Weekly New Canon Society study group meetings keep everything in perspective.
